Farm Gate Imaging is owned and operated by Vanessa Lentz.
Steeped in a rich brew of Cape Breton values, Scottish traditions and an insatiable hunger for authentic experiences, she is pursuing her passion.
Vanessa graduated from the Holland College Centre of Creative Arts and has been working with photography ever since. She has photographed adults, children and babies all over Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
On her travels across Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East she was captivated by architecture. After taking a marketing course Vanessa began to fully understand the ultimate strength and messaging power of strong imagery. She has combined her photography skills with a love of all things delicious and beautiful to help business people market and advertise their wares and services.
Passionate about her art, Vanessa has spent almost 20 years observing, absorbing and practising the creative process that defines her. In the spirit of down home hospitality, Vanessa invites you to follow the passion with her as she explores the commercial applications of her craft.

Each time I take a photograph the goal is to capture the true essence of the subject.
Great photos have the power to persuade, provoke thought, evoke emotions, and stir up debate. Whether or not the photographer planned it that way is of little consequence when the image takes on a life of its own.
Personal tastes differ from person to person. This is what makes it so important to gain a sense of what a client's expectations are & move forward with that in mind.
